Physical DescriptionJug. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved; ovoid body; tall, cylindrical neck with inverted bell-shaped rim; bulge at base of neck; applied inverted loop handle; large domed foot; elaborately engraved decoration; body divided into 4 rounded panels, one with partially-clad man, crowned, flanked by 2 children; the panel on opposite side depicting a seated, draped woman, with a child asleep at her right, a winged putto at her left; front panel with an angel carrying a small child; the back panel with an angel scattering flowers, with a putto at her back; urn of fruit with swags at the sides engraved at the base of the handle; matte flat foot rim with band of polished circular facets (no pontil mark).Provenance
