Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; borosilicate, red, white and blue cardboard; mold blown by machine; a) cylindrical shape; small mouth with machine finished rim; narrow neck that gradually tapers out to top of body; "----8----03---" pressed into neck; body hexagonal; scales for measuring pressed into 3 joining sides under neck marking; "7/6/5/4/3/2/1" pressed into side with middle scale; "-19-" underneath scale to left of middle scale; item number "-58N-" underneath scale to right of middle scale; on other half of body (3 sections) "PY" pressed into middle and "T.M.REG." pressed into bottom of left section; "P/Y/R/E/X" and "U.S. PAT." pressed into middle section; "EX" pressed into middle and "OFF." pressed into bottom of right section; sides of body round in to form base; base flat; "MADE/IN/USA" pressed into and old catalog number "678.82" written in black ink on base; b) hexagonal package with open ends; same height as bottle; one side has 3 drawings of bottles and "BOIL ME/CHILL ME/SEE IF I CARE" printed on it; side opposite it has the same design; printed across two of the other sides is "CORNING GLASS WORKS,CORNING,N.Y./PYREX/BRAND/OVENWARE/CORNING GLASS WORKS CORNING, NY/PYREX/BRAND/PYREX Nursing Bottles can be/sterilized in boiling water-this/means protection for baby's health./8 OZ. NARROW NECK/NURSING/BOTTLE/PRICE/20 (cents) /each;" a purple stamp with the number 10 in a circle is just below "Bottle" and above the price; two remaining adjoining sides identical to two described above, except there is no purple stamp with the number 10 on them.Provenance
