Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, borosilicate; mold blown by hand, joined, acid-etched, pressed; a) spherical shape; ground and polished rim; straight short neck; round body; handle opposite spout; both top and bottom of handle joined, bottom join larger than top join; flat base with PYREX trademark acid-etched onto bottom; b) globular knob; top of lid dome shaped, "PYREX" pressed into lid top; rim of greater diameter than cylindrical insert; c) circular trivit; two flat handles with rounded in ends, "B-A" pressed and old catalog number "1666.85" written in black ink onto one handle, "706" pressed onto other; sides of dish tapered in, number "85-21" written in black ink onto exterior near handle; base flat with three equally spaced feet on bottom, PYREX trademark pressed onto bottom of base.
