Physical DescriptionFragment with Inscription. Colorless or almost colorless. Blown and relief-cut. Fragment of vessel of uncertain form: wall apparently had two or more flat faces, with rounded angles. Lower wall descends vertically or almost vertically, then curves in at bottom; base circular or oval, either disk-like or with foot ring. Outside of wall has decoration in relief. This includes, on surviving part of one flat face, two horizontal bands: (1) upper band containing raised circular facet with countersunk boss at center, resting on horizontal notched line; and (2) lower band containing kufic inscription, in which vertical parts of letters are hatched, above plain horizontal line, which is roughly polygonal when seen from below. At edge of flat face, notched line turns down and then curves in toward center of rounded angle.
