Physical DescriptionCompote. Colorless lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. The pattern on this compote consists of four frames with an engraved design of a bird. In two of the frames, the bird is perched on a branch. The other two frames depict the bird with wings spread, surrounded by flowers and foliage. These frames are separated by four high arched panels shaped like pointed flower petals. The panels are filled with a cut crosshatched design. "E. J. Palme" is engraved under one of the crosshatched panels. The rim has fine cut detailing of alternating cut ovals and lines. A star is cut into the bottom of the foot.
