Physical DescriptionVase in “Animor” series in Oroplastique Technique. Brown "Topaz" glass, gilding; blown, cut, acid-etched, gilded. Transparent brown topaz glass vase with teardrop-shaped body and flared rim with gilded lip. Body of vessel decorated with Oroplastique design consisting of two groups of two elephants separated by palm trees with two pairs of birds flying above. Design is in relief on an etched background with gilding. Elephant scene is flanked on top and bottom with deeply-cut horizontal bands, the edges of which have been gilded.
