Physical DescriptionInstallation, "Meteorite dall’ Influenza Veneziana". Glass, aluminum, resin, lenticular printed photographs, digital/printed photo mural, LED lights, found objects, mixed media, silicone; blown glass, assembled. wall installation consisting of a large-scale photo mural of a multicolored comet descending downwards and to the left printed on vinyl. A large-scale three-dimensional mandala situated in center of the comet consisting of a blue glass face with green, gold, and blue features including five glass flower shapes. Central face mounted on circular metal disk with sawtooth edges. Circular metal disk with sawtooth edges mounted on larger circular structure consisting of an orange wheel with gear-shaped edges upon which four large blue glass components radiate, each depicting a common symbol on automobile dashboards: an oil can, an engine, a thermometer above wavy lines, and a battery with positive and negative poles; resin and glass components interspersed with blue glass components. Orange disk is mounted on a similarly-sized blue metal disk with alternating blue glass squares each depicting either a nose, an ear, or an open mouth exposing teeth. Central orange and blue disks surrounded by four graphic lenticular panels depicting gears, birds, turtles, and other flora/fauna; lenticular panels are backlit with LED panels. Lenticular panels are surrounded by a wheel of alternating plexiglass, glass, and resin panels, each depicting either a heart with text, a lens-shaped form, a hand mounted on an orange triangular shape, and a larger vegetal form; plexiglass/glass/resin panels alternate with cast resin pillars in green and dark gold. Wheel of plexiglass/glass/resin panels surrounded by a larger gold metal wheel with flames cut along outer edge; gold wheel decorated with yellow and purple diamonds and four cast green resin cherub heads.Provenance
