Physical DescriptionTransparent light blue, with bubbles (up to 0.2 cm across) and inclusions; blown, scratch-engraved. Six fragments of cup with plain cylindrical rim and rounded lip. Five of these fragments join and make almost complete profile of wall, and other is loose fragment. Wall is nearly vertical, but it curves down and in at bottom. It is decorated with continuous horizontal band of somewhat sketchy ornament (from top to bottom): (1) 0.8–1.9 cm below rim, group of four horizontal lines; (2) band containing groups of two or three vertical lines, 1.2 cm wide; (3) group of three horizontal lines, 0.75 cm wide; (4) band of geometric ornament that, if symmetrical, consisted of lozenges with double outlines, each containing four hatched circles, and, in triangular spaces between each pair of lozenges, pair of vertical lines flanked by hatching; and (5) group of three horizontal lines, about 1.2 cm wide. Between rim and uppermost group of horizontal lines are several short vertical lines, and similar lines exist between lowest group and bottom of wall. Surface ranges from glossy and slightly iridescent to dull with remains of off-white weathering.
