Physical DescriptionRim plain; wall descends almost vertically before curving down and in; stem short and hollow; foot conical, with rounded edge made by folding; end of parison pushed up through stem to form dome at center of bowl; pontil mark (D. about 1.6 cm). Wall is decorated with nine horizontal bands of contiguous hollow facets, which together make overall honeycomb pattern (from top to bottom): (1) about 22 facets resembling hexagons; and (8 and 9) 16 hexagons. Height of each hexagon is about two-thirds of its width.Provenance
