Physical DescriptionBowl. Transparent blue; many bubbles; unidentified inclusion (L. 2.2 cm, W. 0.3 cm) on floor above kick. Blown in dip mold. Bowl: cylindrical. Rim plain, with rounded lip and light constriction on outside; wall almost vertical, but with slightly convex profile and curving in at bottom; base plain, with convex underside except at center, where it has low kick; pontil mark small (D. about 0.7 cm). Honeycomb decoration covers much of wall and entire base. On wall: uppermost 1.5 cm appears to be plain, and ornament is very faint for next 2 cm; below this point, pattern is readily discernible and consists of three continuous horizontal rows of 29 hexagons, which are stretched along vertical axes and arranged in quincunx. On base: ring of 12 circular or oval motifs (external D. about 5 cm), surrounded by ring of 29 narrow, roughly hexagonal motifs.Provenance
