Physical DescriptionClear glass; free-blown and engraved. (a) Domed foot with pontil mark, composite stem consisting of an inverted baluster with tear, a flattened stemmed knop with a circlet of tears, and a spool (stem between knop and spool broken and repaired with a metal collar; section of stem missing ?), deep straight-sided tapering bowl; (b) set-in domed cover with finial consisting of three knops decreasing in diameter towards pointed top, circlet of tears in bottom knop; engraved decoration: on the bowl a combination of four coats-of-arms with the names: "H: TEMMING, C:E: VAN DERLITH, C:E:H: ACHEUSSES, J: RAYE", on the reverse a long inscription framed by two branches: PRAE NOBILI AC BENE NATAE DOMINAE DOMINAE CHARLOTTAE ELISABETHAE VAN DER LITH, TRIUM GUTERNATORUM COLONIAE SURINAMIENSIS, RIPARUM, EIUSDEMQUE SUBALTERNARUM REGIONUM, ATQUE IBIDEM MILITUM PRAEFECTORUM, VIDUAE INSIGNI, HIC CONSECRATUR CRATER, PER BENEVOLUM A C OBIENTISSIMUM FAMULUM; W:O:R. FECIT 1741"; on the cover three putti with a horn-of-plenty beneath a radiant sun with "Godfather's Eye" at center on the reverse an inscription: "TER CONJUX, MATERQUE TRIUM, ABSQUE MARITO FACTA, REGIT SOBOLEM, ET BLANDITUR LUMINE PROLI".
