Physical DescriptionColorless, transparent dark blue non-lead glasses; blown, cut, pad overlay, gilt, enameled, silvered. Straight-sided, bucket- shaped bowl; cut plain rim; convex blue shield applied on the side, with gilt outline, vertical gilt sword haft and silvered blade, holding an enameled wreath of flowers and foliage, inscribed in Cyrillic in gilt "For Faith, Czar and Fatherland"; cut decoration in three bands: band of fine cross-hatching with polished circular facets and diamonds, a band of polished stylized leaves, and a band of nailhead diamonds; waisted, panel-cut stem; disk foot with cut petal edge and cut star underneath.
