Physical DescriptionGoblet. Colorless glass; free-blown, cut and engraved. Deep bowl with long straight sides spreading from squat bulbous body from base of which the upper part of the composite stem is drawn; short baluster above spool knop; applied flat circular foot with small rough pontil mark; elaborate engraved rococo decoration: on sides of bowl, complex design composed of many and varied motifs including foliated and feathered scrolls, drapes, festoons of fruit and flowers, squirrels, stag, bird, and small profile- portrait medallion, and on foot, an engraved circlet including feathered scrolls and small flowers; cut decoration: on bottom of bowl small lunar slices with ends meeting above center of round-topped panels tapering on drawn portion of stem and small facets and panels on baluster of stem.
