Physical DescriptionTransparent dark amethyst non-lead glass; blown, engraved, gilded; pewter mounts. Tapered sides; engraved and gilded border of ovals alternating with stylized flowers, with swag drapery below; engraved and gilded crowned coat of arms at the front, with stylized floral sprays at either side; engraved and gilded band of stylized leaves below; applied loop handle; rough pontil mark; flat pewter cover with engraved script initials "MDW" at top; hinged to handle with acorn latch.
