Physical DescriptionPitcher. Colorless or almost colorless glass; blown, applied. Pitcher: cylindrical. Rim plain, with rounded lip and slight external bevel; neck shaped like truncated cone , narrower at bottom than at top; shoulder slopes, but is almost flat, with rounded edge; wall vertical; base plain; pontil mark irregular (L. [max.] 1.7 cm). single trail dropped onto center of base before pontil applied, and wound three times around base, 11 times around wall, seven times around shoulder, and 12 times around neck (making a total of 33 revolutions) before ending 1.3 cm below lip. Handle with circular cross section dropped onto edge of shoulder and top of wall after trail applied, drawn up and slightly outward, then bent in and attached to rim and top of wall; rectangular thumb rest added at highest point.
