Physical DescriptionGreyish-green non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilt. Tall, straight-sided, cylindrical form, slightly incurved at the top; gilt band below the rim, with blue and white dotted borders and spaced blue dots within; the sides covered with a large crowned two-headed eagle, bearing an orb on its breast; coats of arms arrayed on its wings in several ranks, with inscribed bands at the bottom of the wings to identify the categories; short inscription on the reverse, "das heilige Rommische/Reich undt/ sambt sei/nenn glie/dernn"; trailed foot ring with white dashes; conical bottom with large rough pontil mark; inscribed in white paint on the bottom "17[00]".Provenance
