Physical DescriptionClear glass with bubbles; some wear stains; pattern-molded with applied and tooled decoration. The font consists of a triple bulge decreasing in diameter towards a knop base with rough pontil mark; flattened flaring rim; to this vessel an elaborate superstructure has been applied consisting of a diagonally ribbed thread in the form of an 8, enclosing a red thread and surrounded by a wide glass frame which has a pinched, crimped, cross-hatched and scalloped edge; above the 8 motif a vertically paneled irregular insert; the whole section has been attached to the font itself through three attachments, with the thread of the 8 starting at the center and two threads with crimped wings supporting the sides; the font has been patterned in a vertical rib mold.Provenance
