Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled, gilded. (a) Waisted shape; yellow-stained and gilded border; rectangular panel at the front with enameled scene of St. Stephan receiving a cross and crown from an angel; on the reverse, engraved cross palm fronds enclosing a gilt and yellow-stained bishop's hat and the initials "MH"; yellow- stained, flared, faceted foot rim; yellow-stained cut star on the base. (b) Flat domed shape; yellow-stained, with band of engraved leaves; a gilded bishop's hat, above the gilded signatures "C.v.Sch. fecit"; inscribed (gilded) around the rim: "MH Der Seelige Godefridus, aus einem Grafen zu Capenberg Chor = Herr und Beichtiger des Proemonstratenier Ordens. Wird verehret den 16. Jener."; flat, disc-shaped, star-cut finial.Provenance
