Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Cylindrical, straight-sided form, with cut vertical panels on the side; engraved depiction of a saint, holding the Christ child in his arms, and carrying a floral spray; palm fronds at either side; engraved arc border; engraved foliate sprays at either side of an applied loop handle, with crimped and curled lower terminal; domed pewter cover hinged to the handle, with molded swirled ribs alternating with convex and flat bands on top; horizontally ribbed ball thumb-piece; polished flat base with crowned reverse-engraved monogram "SvA" and crossed foliate sprays.
