Physical DescriptionBox: dark grayish blue. Slugs: (A-E) transparent pale pink; (F) transparent pale purple: (G-I) colorless with faint purple tint; (J) colorless; (K) colorless with faint pink tint; transparent pale brownish pink; (M) transparent light reddish amber; (N) transparent red; (O) transparent blue; (P) translucent deep emerald; box: cardboard, paper and fabric, copper (clasp); slugs: glass, with paper labels; box: components assembled with adhesive; clasp attached with pins. Slugs: cast, ground and polished. Box: rectangular, with lid. Exterior covered with dark grayish blue paper; interior divided into nine parallel compartments and lined with white fabric; closed with copper clasp. Slugs: cylindrical, with beveled ends; (D-H, K-P) are octagonal at one end, the flutes extending for one-quarter to two-fifths of the total length. Each slug has one or more paper label, usually inscribed in ink with color and date.
