Slugs: all transparent, (A) deep blue ("Saphir"), (B) deep blue ("Stahlblau"), (C-G) purplish pink, (H) red, (I) purplish pink, (J,K) reddish brown, (L) very pale brown, (M) olive green, (N,O) light green, (P) green, (Q) as (P), but lighter; box: cardboard, paper and textile, copper (clasp); slugs: glass, some with paper labels; box: components assembled with adhesive; clasp attached with pins; slugs: cast, ground and polished. Box: rectangular, with lid. Exterior covered with olive green paper; interior divided into nine parallel compartments and lined with white fabric; closed with copper clasp. Slugs: cylindrical, octagonal at one end, the flutes extending for one-quarter to two-fifths of the total length; ends beveled. Most slugs have one paper label, inscribed in ink with color and date.
