Physical DescriptionSculpture, "Head of a Horse". (a) Transparent amber with colorless, opaque red and opaque yellow appliqués; glass. (b) tarnished brassy yellow (top and sides), dull green (base plate); copper, brass, or gilt metal, and unidentified material (base plate); (a) blown into plaster mold with hot-worked appliqués and wheel-cut and abraded or acid-etched details; head of horse with bridle. Form and features shaped in mold. (b) assembled from five rectangular sheets of metal and one sheet of unidentified material, top and sides perhaps gilded, base plate painted. Base rectangular, hollow box with flat top, vertical sides, and flat base plate.Provenance
