Physical DescriptionColorless, with gold ruby threads. Blown, threaded, cut. Beaker: tapered, straight-sided form, incorporating spiral ruby threads in sides and on bottom; domed cover with tapered brim, enclosing spiral ruby threads throughout; pear-shaped finial, mounted on capstan and disk, and containing spiral ruby threads; rough pontil mark on interior. Cut decoration: band of polished oval roundels at top and bottom, and wide band in middle, separated into vertical rectangular panels, alternately matte and polished, with patterns of oval roundels and stars; polished flutes at bottom; matte base with ring of polished ovals surrounding central circular, concave roundel. Cover has matching band of oval roundels and stars; finial is panel-cut and faceted.Provenance
