Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; blown-molded, cut, encased, molded sulphides. (a) Squat, square shape; rim small, flat and rounded; cylindrical neck panel cut, ground for a stopper; shoulder step-cut below the neck, with fine sharp-diamond cutting below; two flat sides with oval convex panels enclosing molded sulphides, one of Shakespeare, facing dexter, inscribed "BARRE F." below the shoulder, plain reverse, printed in sepia "Pellatt & Green/Patentees/LONDON"; other with a molded basket of flowers, reverse flat, printed in sepia "Pellatt & Green/Patentees/LONDON"; the two other faces with cut rounded vertical ribs alternating with fine diamond-cut rounded ribs; base covered with fine strawberry diamonds. (b) Convex, circular top, with cut radial grooves and notched rim; tapered stem; tapered, polished shank with polished base.Provenance
