Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; blown, cut, encased, molded sulphide. (a) Tall, oval panel, mounted on a foot; top capped by a tubular brass collar, with tapered top and cylindrical base, attached with plaster, rounded sections with cut fine diamonds, above a waisted, panel-cut section, and a rounded section with cut fine diamonds; above an oval section, with polished convex faces, strawberry-diamond-cut sides and prism-cut top; enclosing a molded two-sided sulphide figure of a classical woman, standing, with hands clasped at her waist; on a flat, oval knop with cut fine diamonds, a thin bladed cut band, and a cylindrical band with cut sharp diamonds; panel-cut, short section flaring into a cut, stepped, circular pad; thick disk foot with petal-cut rim and large cut star on the underside. (b) Bobeche; curved upward with six pointed petals and notched angles between; cylindrical collar; cut arcs on the underside; each point drilled, with pointed cut prisms hanging from wire pins. (c) Candle cup; flat, broad rim with cut radial grooves; waisted, panel-cut neck; cylindrical, diamond-cut sides; flat, stepped base, cut capstan stem; slightly tapered brass collar attached to the base shank.
