Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled, gilded. Waisted shape with rounded, facet-cut, yellow-stained base; yellow- stained border at the rim, decorated with gilded leaves and inscribed "Die Insel St. Helena."; rectangular transparent- enameled panel on the side, showing a harbor with two steep hills at either side, one with a fortress on top, the other (left) with a castle part way up; with houses and hills in the background, boats and ships in the foreground; the aft end of one ship inscribed "R" in enamel, and scratched inscription "Vordhumb" (?) above; signed "G.M.f." below the view at the center; inscribed "A.F." in gilded script on the reverse; cut star on the base.
