Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, enameled, stained. Tall, central column with three dishes and top cup; (a) the top cup, inverted bell-shaped form, with elaborately cut rim, eight cut panels with rounded scrolls ending in fans and petal rims, alternately enameled transparent or red on alternating panels, flanked by curved panels of fine diamond cutting, one diamond stained yellow, and the six diamonds encircling it enameled transparent blue; on the other side a circular panel, either with concave facet or diamonds and octagonal fields with radial cutting; waisted sides below cut in broad vertical panels; sides covered with a broad band of naturalistic flowers in transparent enamels, with a background of black enamel and yellow stained "worm lines"; angular, octagonal, panel-cut flange below, with transparent enameled red, green, purple, and blue stylized leaves, and black enamel background with yellow stained "worm lines"; cylindrical silvered-metal tube below, with central rounded band, incised pairs of lines above and below, flat rim. (b) Shallow circular shape, with upturned, curved sides; curved concave center; rim cut in a series of elaborate devices with enameled details as in the rim of "a"; wide band of flowers and black enameled background with yellow "worm lines" (as on "a"); yellow stained band at the center, with sepia enameled formal foliate band; cut hole in the center. (c) Similar shape and decoration to "b" but larger. (d) Similar shape and decoration to "b" and "c" but larger than "c".
