Physical DescriptionCovered Goblet. Colorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, gilded. (a) Double- walled bowl with tapered, panel-cut sides; gold foil decoration between the two walls consisting of elaborate foliage, scrolled to form three panels, two with individual children's heads, the third with two kissing children; silver foil decoration of a band of leaves at the base and a cross-hatched circle at the center, against a red ground; set into a panel-cut cup with gilded "worm lines"; stem composed of a faceted ball knop above a panel-cut baluster, merging with a panel cut foot, cutting outlined with gilding; foot with gilded "worm lines"; scratched "12" on the center of the foot; (b) domed, panel- cut shape, with gilding outlining the cutting; gild "worm lines" at the base of a pointed, panel-cut and gilded finial.Provenance
