Physical DescriptionColorless, dark red non-lead glass; blown, overlay, cut, gilt. Ovoid, cup-shaped bowl; cut, gilt rim; the sides overlaid with transparent dark red, cut into a band of rectangular panels with cut corners; outlined in gilt; the colorless background covered alternately with gilt vines or gilt "worm lines"; tapered straight, panel-cut stem, the panels decorated with gold matching the bowl, a faceted gilt short inverted baluster at the base; octagonal gilt panel on top of the foot; panel-cut, lobed foot with gilt decoration matching that on the bowl; polished flat bottom with cut star at the center.
