Physical DescriptionBeaker. Colorless with yellowish tinge. Blown; gilded and enameled. Beaker with outsplayed mouth. Rim plain, finished at glory hole; side tapers slightly to pad base; pontil mark. Decorated with gilding and red, yellow, blue, green, white, and dark brown enamels. Decoration extends from just below rim to 0.5 cm above base and consists of three registers separated by continuous bands of gilding, 0.3 cm wide, with red outlines, and with similar bands above and below. Top register: narrow, continuous nashki inscription in blue enamel on gilded background. Center register: broad, three gilded and enameled seated or kneeling figures with red outlines and details; (A) drinker wearing brown scarf or shawl and robe with yellow enamel collar and holding red enamel glass in left hand, sitting beside tall, curving stem with many green leaves; (B) figure wearing brown scarf or shawl and robe with white enamel details; (C) figure wearing brown scarf or shawl and robe with white details. Bottom register: very narrow, gilded leaf scroll on white(?) enamel background.
