Physical DescriptionOpaque white over translucent blue to deep blue glasses; cast or blown, cased, carved, ground, and polished. Beaker or cup (?): fragment from immediately below rim. Top of fragment slightly everted; wall almost vertical, but bulging slightly near top and tapering toward bottom. Cameo decoration on outside: just below rim, notched horizontal border defines top of frieze; surviving part of frieze has, on left, mass of foliage, perhaps grapevine, with serrated and veined leaves, and, to right, springing from it, scrolling stem which divides at end and terminates in open flower with four petals and lotus flower (?). Interior has numerous parallel horizontal striations, perhaps from grinding.Provenance
