Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, enameled, gilt, double-walled technique. Tapered, straight-sided shape, with panel-cut sides and cut flutes at the base; black-enameled border on the inside and out, decorated with gilt bands of acorns and leaves; swags of gilt flowers and foliage; double-walled enclosing an oval medallion of pearls and lifelike silk flowers enclosing the crowned gilt monogram "JS" or "TS", with swags of silk flowers and silk leaves, and a scene on the reverse of two wood huts with two swans in a pond in the foreground, with three people crossing a bridge, another figure rowing a boat, and another house in the background; polished concave base, and polished pontil mark on the bottom of the inner glass.Provenance
