Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, trailed, engraved. Bell-shaped bowl, with flared rim and rounded base; trailed band of fine threading at the rim; band of engraved dots; engraved crowned shields on each face, one with script monogram "FLD" , with engraved palm fronds at either side; the shield on the opposite side of similar form, with the date "1747"; trailed chain circuit below, with spirally ribbed flamiform gather at the bottom; short stem composed of five stacked disks of varying thicknesses and diameters; domed foot with ring of engraved dots at the folded rim; rough pontil mark; applied ribbed loop handles at either side, with curled lower terminals.
