Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; encased, cut, molded sulphide, cast gilt metal frame. Circular shape, with polished convex obverse, enclosing a circular, flat disk with sepia enameled decoration of a female classical head facing dexter, wearing a diadem, with long curls, on a red-brown background; a cut ledge encircles the circumference of the plaque; reverse all-over diamond faceted; in a cast, gilt bronze frame, decorated with a band of stiff leaves and berries and a zig-zag border with all-over beading; pointed metal fins hold the plaque in the frame at the back; small turned post and loose ring for hanging.Provenance
