Physical Description(a) Star canes of opaque yellow center cased with translucent deep blue, opaque white rays in a translucent medium gray-blue field, reground recently on all surfaces; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Roughly rectangular fragment preserves portion of one element and two rays of second element. (b) Star cane similar to above in a translucent deep blue matrix, dull and shattered, half of bar missing; technique as above. Fragment of a mosaic glass bar roughly square in cross section, broken on two sides. (c) Floral cane with opaque yellow center cased with translucent deep medium blue, petals of opaque white cased with translucent amethyst all in a translucent medium blue matrix, broken on three sides, dull surface; technique as above. Fragment preserves roughly rectangular cross section of a long bar broken on three sides. (d) Inlay strip with canes of opaque yellow, opaque white in translucent medium gray-blue matrix, dull, some surfaces repolished recently; technique as above. Roughly rectangular strip broken on one edge, probably reground from a long plaque preserves a four-petaled rosette in the center with white floral units having red centers at each end. (e) Inlay tile of opaque red and opaque blue glass, repolished recently; cast and inlaid. Fragment preserves roughly one-third of a square tile of red glass cut with multiple rosette pattern with individual petals of blue fixed to the tile with a resinous material.Provenance
