Physical DescriptionOpaque white glass with green overlay; blown, cased and carved. Two globe shapes, the smaller fitting into the larger, forming a gourd shape. (a) Design of two cut units of a blossom and leaf scrolls with intervening tripartite leaf motif below and an encircling motif surrounding the mouth, suggesting a flat scalloped collar with two jointed elements intervening, above, between the main leaf scrolls; at the base a narrow ring of the green and a solid area of green running into a flat ring base with hollowed white center containing a square four-character seal in green, in slight relief. (b) Similar body design of blossom and leaf scrolls, but other differing details; encircling the mouth a fret border and, slightly separated, a scalloped flat, collar-like band with two jointed extensions downward between the two leaf scrolls; intervening tri-partite leaf motif intervenes below between the leaf scrolls; instead of a solid green area at the base, a band of green and a flat green ring-base, centered with white containing a square green four-character (differing from that on a). (c) Teakwood stand.
