Physical DescriptionColorless glass; molded, cut, stained, gilded and enameled. (a) Barrel-shaped body with 8 panels above and below relief band of plain and feathered scroll-ribs alternating with large disc with crosshatched wedge at upper right and at lower left; cut octagonal neck with three beveled octagonal neck rings, octagonal flat flange; molded intaglio daisy in base; (b) large mushroom stopper with long spire finial, octagonal stem and finial, alternate disc and leaf on mushroom; on decanter and stopper: sides and motifs outlined in red stain; elaborate polychrome and gilded decoration including enameled flowers and leaves on discs, foliated scrolls below central band, and alternate heart and trefoil cartouches above, and small scrolls between collars on neck.Provenance
