Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Cap. Light green, opaque white non-lead glasses; mold-blown, pressed. (a) Barrel shape; with ground lip; screw threads on neck, mold seams on each side; obverse embossed: "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH/ 1858" with CFJ Co. monogram between "MASON" and "PATENT"; base embossed: "E249". (b) Zinc cap stamped "TRADE MARK BOYD'S PORCELAIN LINED/PATD July 1871 MAR 30 69 REISSUED OCT 25 81" around "TRADEMARK" encircling a CFJ Co. monogram; milk glass liner pressed, embossed "CONSOLIDATED FRUIT JAR COMPANY/NEW YORK" around a CFJ Co. monogram.
