Physical Description2 Preserving Jars. Non-lead Glass, Light green and (A) opaque white; mold-blown, (A) pressed. (Aa) Barrel shape; with ground lip; screw threads on neck, mold seams on each side; obverse embossed: "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH/ 1858", with Hero cross with HFJ Co. monogram above "MASON"; base embossed "PAT NOV 26 67" around "G1". (Ab) Zinc cap with pressed opaque white glass liner, embossed: "GENUINE BOYD CAP/FOR MASON JARS". (B) Barrel shape; with ground lip; screw threads on neck, mold seams on each side; obverse embossed: "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH/1858"; base plain.
