Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Cap and Ring. Light yellow green, opaque white non-lead glasses; mold-blown, pressed. Barrel shape; with ground lip; screw threads on neck, mold seams on each side; obverse embossed: "MASON'S/PATENT/NOV 30TH/1858", with CFJ Co. monogram between "MASON" and "PATENT"; base embossed "1270"; red rubber ring; zinc cap, cap with white pressed glass liner embossed "GENUINE BOYD CAP/FOR MASON JARS".
