粉色涅玻璃象纹镶嵌式鼻烟壶
Physical DescriptionSnuff Bottle with Stopper Spoon. Opaque pink, translucent turquoise, opaque white, amber, dark blue, opaque yellow, and red glass, ivory, green stone, cork; blown, carved, cemented. (a) Flattened ovoid form, of opaque pink glass; short, tapered neck, polished flat on top with an opening in the top for a stopper and spoon; the shoulders and sides rounded, the faces polished relatively flat; stylized figures of elephants cemented on either face, one elephant a streaked creamy-white, with turquoise trappings and dark blue seat; the other bright red, with bright yellow trappings and blue seat; carved turquoise blue mark handles cemented on either shoulder; oval amber oval foot rim cemented on the base. (b) Domed green stone button on top, with carved stylized leaves; mounted on a turned ivory disk; tapered cork shank; long ivory spoon with thin handle, oval spatulate bowl.
