Physical DescriptionTranslucent greenish blue glass with few bubbles; cast or mold- pressed, lathe-cut and polished. Large shallow bowl with footring; short vertical rim with lip rounded by grinding; shortly below lip, two lathe-cut grooves on both interior and exterior; wall flares to carination with rounded profile, 3 cm below lip, then curves in toward bottom; shortly below carination, deep lathe-cut groove with smaller groove on either side; on interior, circular relief band, D: 5.2 cm, surrounds profiled boss with raised center; low footring, D: 12 cm, finished by lathe-cutting, retains abraded line around bottom of exterior, interior is uneven where foot joins bottom of vessel, perhaps indicating that foot was fused to vessel, then cut and polished. Entire bowl has concentric lathe-cut striations on interior and exterior surfaces.
