Physical DescriptionColorless glass, metal; glass: cast, ground and polished. (a) Circular shape with gold-tone exterior; circular face with one short straight line indicating each hour (that indicating 12 being thicker than the others), and one very short straight line indicating each minute; short hour hand, longer minute hand, and even longer, narrower second hand; below center of face, inscription in black enamel(?): "HOYA/ QUARTZ"; (b) solid irregular octahedron; front consists of rectangular surface, inclined away from viewer, with clock set in central circular recess and held in place by magnet attached to glass, above second, smaller rectangular surface inclined toward viewer; each side consists of irregular quadrilateral in vertical plane; back consists of two identical quadrilaterals; top is pentagonal surface sloping down toward back; base is isosceles triangular surface perpendicular to sides.
