Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, cut, engraved, gilt; molded, encased sulphide. Straight-sided, cylindrical shape, gilt bands at the rim and base; raised oval medallion with cut and gilt rim on the side, enclosing a molded white ceramic (sulphide) depicting the figure of a crowned, standing female, robed, with her right hand above a waterfall, with a cross-surmounted orb below, holding a nude child in her left arm; narrow rectangular panel below, inscribed in blue script "n. d. des eaux", supported by a winged putto's head; engraved gothic initials "HB" within a foliate wreath of two sprays, tied at the bottom, on the reverse; polished slight depression on the bottom; polished flat rim.
