Physical DescriptionColorless, opaque white, transparent gray non-lead glasses; mold-blown, cut, laminated with photo bond, ground and polished. Cylindrical with stem and foot; mold-blown bowls of transparent colorless with straight tapering walls have ground and polished rims and exterior general abrading rendering of them translucent, bowl bases have been cut flat and laminated to a flat, circular piece of gray with abraded edges of narrow diameter than the bowl base; stem is comprised of laminated cut flat glass layers of transparent colorless and a second layer of thin translucent white, sides where layering is apparent have been abraded; stem is laminated to flat circular pieces at the top and to a foot of flat, cut, polished and abraded gray, foot is square with two diagonally opposite squared corners and of the remaining two, one is rounded and the opposing one is broadly curved; on top surface of base, between the stem and broadly curved corner is laminated a hemisphere of slightly iridized colorless with minute air inclusions; (B) has a slightly different shaped bowl apparently due to hand polishing, stem is laminated in order which mirrors (A). (A) Diamond-point engraved "Yasuko".
