Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; encased, cut, molded sulphide, stamped gilt metal mount. Flat, oval shape, enclosing a molded sulphide bust portrait of a man (John Quincy Adams), facing dexter, balding, wearing a heavy, collared coat and tied stock; reverse side of the sulphide flat; face of the plaque polished and slightly convex, with cut stepped rim; rim notched; reverse with cut sunburst rays; stamped circular gilt metal hanger, with overlapping stiff leaves, bent in a U; with soldered threaded ring and loose ring for hanging.Provenance
