Physical DescriptionTransparent deep violet non-lead glass flashed in blue, black electroforming; blown, sandblasted, electro-formed copper, patinated. Flared bowl with walls tapering to a narrow base; flashed interior sandblasted and ground leaving a broad rim band decorated with two thin raised bands, the one nearest the rim punctuated on opposite sides with a series of short perpendicular lines; lower two-thirds of bowl interior left with a pattern in relief of flashed matte blue narrow parallel lines crossed through the center at a right angle by a pair of lines; except for raised lines, entire interior of bowl and broad exterior rim band are covered by thin plating of copper, patinated black; remainder of exterior is uncovered transparent violet; base ground flat and polished; raised block letters on lower edge of outside electro-formed band: "A. Dickinson 1987 c"; inscribed on base: "BJB".
