Physical DescriptionColorless with lavender, blue, aqua, black, ochre 20% lead glass; pate de verre. Flattened flared bowl; extremely thin, delicate vessel in form of a flared bowl flattened on two broad sides each retaining a slightly raised centered vertical rib; short ends are rounded; wide opening is in an elongated elliptic shape; rim consists of a thin collared irregular raised edge of colorless which bulges outward in an encircling band pattern of alternating small raised squares of natural fine sand and various colored squares (not raised) except on the two short ends where the sand patches alternate with colorless; body is indented from the rim and is covered on the two broad sides with an overall interlocking diamond pattern comprised of alternating rows of the raised sand diamonds and rows of ochre, blue, lavender, aqua and black diamonds, each patterned side is defined by a pair of undulating black lines; short narrow sides are colorless without patterning; interior of vessel lined with at least one overall layer of colorless; form tapers to narrow, footless flat base which has been slightly ground.
