Physical DescriptionGolden yellow to ochre to gray green striations in reflected light; caramel/amber in transmitted; slight iridescence non-lead glasses; blown with optic ribbing, applications hot glass. Vase with narrow firepolished opening, slightly collared neck flaring to swollen spherical body with marvered optic ribbing decorated on opposite sides with pairs of-- (a) broad, freely applied parallel trails that have been pinched together to form a vertical row of 3 1/2 large rounded shapes, (b) single, wide vertical trails from opening to pontil, (c) vertical rows of two rounded applications in varying relief; overall light iridescence; slightly concave base with raised trail ends and two small bosses, no foot, rough pontil, some grinding; unsigned.
