Physical DescriptionPlaque with Lotuses and Palmettes. Opaque yellow, opaque red, opaque white, opaque deep blue and opaque medium blue, translucent deep blue glass, bubbly and somewhat pitted, one face repolished recently; mosaic glass or millefiori technique. Roughly square tile or inlay preserves in deep blue field four-petaled cloverleaf or rosette with medium blue stem, yellow center and red tip surrounded by a lotus palmette chain, stylized lotus buds in yellow with more elaborate palmette leaves spreading into the corners of the square in alternating red and yellow with double volute linking the palmette to the lotus bud; all this in a deep blue ground which is surrounded by medium blue border filled with alternating opaque red and translucent deep blue clover leaves.
